Description:
Orbea was founded in 1840 in the Basque region of Spain. They were a steel fabricating company best know for making firearms. In 1930 they started making bicycles. Because they were skilled in steel manufacturing, they didn’t just make the frames. They made nearly all the metal components on the bike: derailleurs, crank, brakes, stem, hubs, rims, shifters and levers.
With the exception of the rear brake and the headset, this bike has all the original components in working condition. If someone out there has an Olimpic 70 Super rear brake they want to sell, let me know.
