I acquired this 2002 Carrera Podium Hercules RC frame in mint condition. These frames were legendary because of their extremely light weight and the fact that the great Marco Pantani rode them to many victories, Including his last year of racing.
The frame is made from Dedaccial U2 alloy. Its light weight lead the UCI to implement a 6.8kg minimum weight limit for road race bicycles.
Carrera’s were ridden to victory in the Tour de France, the Giro d’Italia, the Classics and World Cups by champions such as Stephen Roche, Claudio Chiappucci, Marco Pantani and Micheli Bartoli.
It has been built with up to date Campagnolo components.
